But today, I couldn't .... suddenly a big dark could arrived and I was screwed !! I tried with different artificial lights but it was terrible .. Nicely eggsplained Joanie, especially considering how many aspects there are to explain. It's so freeing when you can use artificial light, once you get to the root of how to use it. Now, no matter how grey and rainy it is here in the UK, it is possible to shoot all day, anywhere. It's the cherry on the cake. Lettuce spread the word so more pips get the tang of it, and they'll love it, then there won't be mushroom for natural light in their photography... ;)

I have to admit that when I got my soft boxes I didn't realize they came with baffles. Next problem, I didn't know where I had put them after setting up the kit. After a couple of hours searching my studio, garage, kitchen drawers I found them in the loft in the original packaging (Under the Christmas decorations, spare duvet etc). Thanks again for a great video!

When I was teaching college photography we talked about the size of the light source controlling whether it was diffused or specular. Of course, moving a light back, as you said, makes it smaller and moving it forward makes it bigger. Thanks, always great to watch your videos.
