Astarion Stealing You Away From Gale - ROMANCE - Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 4

Having finally completed the Gale romance, I went back to romance my One True Love, Astarion. And I discovered that even if you had already promised yourself to Gale, you can offer yourself to Astarion and, if pressed, he will accept.

I was actually a little surprised that he was so nice about not wanting to come between you and Gale, and offering to be friends. I mean, he could have said something mean about Gale and of course you'd rather bed him, y'know? Chaotic Neutral desperately trying to give a performance of Evil. lol

Actually, Wyll says something about how he thinks he could have taught Astarion to be a hero (in the scene with the Gur monster hunter, if you give him Astarion and Wyll is present) so I wonder if, in the full game, you get to influence Astarion's character arc to become Good. To kill Cazador and become Good. That Cazador has it coming. grrrrrrrr

I should probably write all this on my blog instead of here. I mean, I don't always read the description, so I can hardly expect everyone else to do so. ;)

gale is literally the most overly attached dude in my plathrough, i left him in camp, then suddenly he invites me to watch the northern lights and says he loves me, and gets all salty when i dont.

I like how he doesn't try to steal you from Gale unless you keep propositioning him. Gale outright tries to steal you from Astarion. Yet another reason I prefer Astarion.

I mean, if you talk to Gale during the party, he immediately thanks you because he thinks you want to sleep with him and if the approval isn't high enough, he will be like "thanks but no". Like, I just wanted to talk, what the fuck, Gale.

At this point it seams like they actually intend to make it possible to have both of them - at least for a wile. I wonder how that will turn out in the end. I mean - xcou get asked out after saying yes to astarion by gale- So both don't mind you having something with the other. (at first)The true question ist. Will they want you to decide in the end ore actually go for the Poly option

It always feels like it’s easier to romance the guys than it is the girls, you get so many chances with Gale, but I’ve only ever seen one chance with karlach and that’s during the tiefling party

Astarion is neutral evil as a vampire, but yes you can influence him to be better as a person as time goes on. Wyll might want to teach Astarion the way of the hero, but honestly I think his anti-hero nature is fine too. In fact I like it better. Besides, Wyll isn't as heroic as he puts on.
