Nice clean build out Ben! I like the composability of the framing as well as the weight savings! Looking forward to the videos from the Baja trip!

Insulating vehicle body recesses are tough to insulate. I used low expanding spray foam on my Westy to fill the voids around the window frame and fiberglass insulation in the larger areas. Thinsulate is good stuff. I have used it in backpacking clothing for years. The cabinets are tight, great job.

Wow, the troopy is really starting to take shape now since all the frame work went in. It must be exciting for you now, Ben. speaking of which, I ended up drilling that two inch hole to accept the outlet for off shore power in the 4runner. I have to admit, I did not like the idea of drilling a hole, but in the long run, it turned out really well. And with the amount of silicone I used, nothing is getting in😅. Take care, and I can't wait for your next video.

Be careful with adding excess weight. On my troopy. The sound insulation comes from the cabinets which would cover the sides.

Just out of curiosity - why did you go with a low r-value for insulation? I'm planning on doing a build myself and the company I work for has things shipped to them on dry ice. I have considered finding out the r-value of the insulation that is used in the boxes that it is shipped in. I think it would have a higher r value than 5. Of course that's just a guess.
We use the super 77 adhesive where I work in the build of helicopter blades. It's pretty good stuff but I really am curious to see how it works on this insulation
