Ive been doing medical billing and coding for 3 years. I did a year of online school through CareerStep but did not get my coding certificate but I did graduate so it helped make my resume pretty lol. I started working from home January 2022 which was my goal! I spent two years working hard to learn the "language". My goal is to have my own company that is based at home and create a program for single parents to start with no experience needed and be trained by me. Great career!

Just became a CPC-A this year. And I already make more than I did as an assistant principal of a K-8 school. Thanks for your videos!

Awesome explanation! I was a biller about 15 years ago, but I only worked third party claims, and I worked on the back end. There is so much I do not know regarding the overall revenue cycle of a claim. I’m gonna study and get certified for the CPB and next year go after my CPC♥️ wish me luck🌺

I went from being a LVN into MIBC. I love doing MIB. I still have constant contact with patients, then I still get to advocate for my patients and provider. I’m prepping to get my certification AAPC.

Thank you so much for the information! I am taking CEU classes through my community college and have been going back and forth whether to pursue a billing or coding certificate. I am already a certified medical assistant so I had some coding in school and did enjoy that aspect. I look forward to exploring more of your content to gain insight into my new career path.

I just wish there wasn’t such a paywall. I can’t afford to buy a course, books, and a lifetime membership just for a chance at a higher pay. I was so ready to jump into this because I’m so good at memorizing numbers but to have to pay per month just to have this job is ridiculous.

Does working in the billing department require being on the phone constantly? I want a career in the background of the medical field. No frontline or speaking with patients like a call center. I do well working alone in a quiet environment. Thank you for these videos they are helpful

I absolutely love channel as I just signed up for school and start next week! If I can just say someone like me who knows nothing about billing and coding, I get lost on all your videos mainly because you talk fast. Even in your introduction video you said a lot really fast and then you use a lot of slang that I have not learned! But once I start school I’ll be back to your videos and hopefully I’ll have a better understanding

This video was very helpful. You are on it. Your knowledge is helping me determine what I can do in billing and coding. I am considering starting CRC and taking your course since I understand it more in detail and work on getting more coding experience for the CPC. I get the ICD-10 really well and remember the change in 2015 from ICD-9 to ICD-10. Thank you.

Many moons ago I worked as a biller for a very specialized DME company and also a tiny bit for a PT practice - I did NOT enjoy the process. I loved when I could get equipment for our patients paid for but on the flip side was very frustrated when the surgery and device were approved but the daily supplies to use the device was routinely denied. I also worked and seriously enjoyed my time as a ER unit secretary (about 15 years) but now it is time to complete my CPC training. I know that I just want to stick to the coding side of the business. Thankfully I have some great mentors. I am an empty nester that wants a bit of a career change.
