Today this post is a tribute, dedication, and celebration to a legend. He had written many of the Temptations classic hits at the start of their "Classic Five" era. That man is no other than a miracle, the legendary singer/songwriter himself, Mr. Smokey Robinson! Today is his birthday and he turns 83, yes, 83 years old and still going on strong.

He written the Temptations very first hit with "The Way You Do The Things You Do." Then wrote the standard classic "My Girl." Other classic Tempts songs like "It's Growing," "Since I Lost My Baby," "Don't Look Back" and his last hit he written for the Tempts, "Get Ready."

I would like to thank and appreciate Smokey Robinson for writing such great songs for not just the Temptations, but for other Motown artist, including his group the Miracles as well. Your legendary legacy would out live us all. There will never be another Smokey Robinson.
