My favorite thing about the show is that it is always chaotic and every time you think that it has to calm down, it ramps up more. I’ve also never watched a show where there were so many characters with so much character development, and almost everyone in the show is awful. But for some reason, it works that they’re all awful.

My great great grandmother broke with the original Mormon polygamy as she was married at 16 to a man who eventually had 81 children. To this very day it's common for family members to address just about any man in the family as "Uncle". That said, very few, if any, of my contemporary family members are polygamous or even Mormon. This show and your commentary makes me wonder how long any polygamous community would ever last even with a benign leader.

I love listening to your 'evaluation'. Because when you started reviewing I ended up buying all five seasons on prime. I think it was like $19.99, a hundred bucks. It's very interesting for me to listen to your experiences. Perhaps because my son-in-law was raised LDS. He's inactive and has been for years, I think before he met my daughter. They have their own son now, 1 yr old. Although I have met his mother & sister, I think they're lovely. I would throw hissy fits if he ever decided to return.

When you talked about the lamanites... I grew up going wait who are they and questioning it cause I'm half native American. I grew up proud of it... it wasn't till my patrical blessing where I'm like wait what? Nothing about it and instead had a line about how great I'm to be... blah blah and looking back I'm like that has to be why... he barely replied when I spoke about my background and now I see why. I didn't know when I was active
