This just makes me realise why sometimes we have problems in maths. We don’t understand what is being asked. Rationalising is make the number rationalised because surds are irrational. Thank you for all you do. Please keep making maths more sense so that we done go insane.

For the last question at 19:30 can you not simplify 8 plus 7 root 2 over 2, to 4 plus 7 root 2? As 8 in the numerator can be divided by 4 in the denominator?

Thank you but the last question the last method ...cant 2 go into 8 ...4 times?? So why is it still 8 +7 square root 2 ...I wan to understand the thing thats all I am confused
