The United States of America says it is willing to help South Africa fight climate change, without overburdening its fiscus.

This after President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered a strong statement, calling on the developed world to honour their commitments.

He officially opened the Resilience Climate Change Symposium in Pretoria on Monday.

The three-day gathering has brought together government officials, multilateral institutions and other key players.
