Like Savile he was hiding in plain sight. The revelations about Savile were not that surprising as he always seemed weird and creepy. Harris was more of a surprise. For Harris to have abused his daughter's teenage friend really does beggar belief.

Watching this now, a couple of things come to mind. Harris is, or was, the kind of "entertainer" who did not have the comedic skill required to tell even a tawdry little joke without pushing the sell hard. He served as a prime example of how not to be funny.

On another note, the producer of this segment was careful in ensuring they cut out before any potential audience laughter could be heard. There likely was, since Harris's humour is so shittily contrived. Even the 'loud bang, hey you or just a minute was delivered with a kind of over-rehearsed note. But nothing is more contrived than giving the punchline straight to camera.
