Rolf Harris - I've Never Seen Anything Like It (Original Mono 45)

Can you tell what it is yet???

I can't...because...
...I've never seen anything like it in my life!!!

This little gem comes from the 1967 movie "Doctor Dolittle"
In the film, it was sung by Richard Attenborough...but, as this upload, hopefully, proves, it was a tune tailor made for Rolf Harris.

This 45 was released in Australia in 1967 on Columbia records,
DO-5037.
It failed to chart.

If you're into such trivia, I'm sure you'll be enthralled to know that it was released in the same batch as the Johnny Farnham classsic, "Sadie (The Cleaning Lady)", DO-5032.
You'd have to agree that, in the overall scheme of things, Sadie fared better than the good doctor! (At least, in Australia).

This upload is from the original 45.

One of the best versions, love the children singing in the background. Sweet.

Dan  I understand he was found guilty in court. There has been a series of celebrity trials in the UK ever since Jimmy Saville scandal. Garry Glitter was just last month imprisoned for I think 16 years and he is in his 70s.

What was the title of the song on the B-Side?

Does anybody know?

His late 60s "Talk of the Town" live LP (never released on CD) is sensational.

Did you know that Beatles' producer George Martin produced some of Harris' records before he met the Beatles?

Harris did a song with The Beatles when they were in Australia, also.

Hi. I no longer have the 45, and, when I did have it, I didn't record the flipside...sorry.
