Put one in a boosted mustang. I can steer the car predictably with the rear wheels. When I bust it loose, I know exactly what it’s doing and where I’m going. Excellent diff for a urban hooligan application.

when you said you are showing the theory of operation, I was ecpecting to see what happens inside as well as function. trying to narrow down a front for an add . both plowing and wheeling

I've got one in my xj rear diff. It makes a ton of noise (clunks and bangs) driving on the street and when it snows, well it's a good thing I have 4wd cause it follows the tilt of the road and tends to get a little sideways. Off road no complaints at all it preforms great on slick rock, shale, sand and mud. I'll be switching mine out for an e-locker since I daily drive my jeep. Would work great in a front diff!

I had Detroit lockers in my Jeep TJ w/ a 6.5 lift on 35 SSwampers. That sucka would go anywhere. My current 02' Blazer ZR2 4x4 w/ 300k miles has a Eaton G80 that performs flawless

If you had one tire on dry pavement, and one tire with zero traction (up in the air spinning freely)  would the differential stay locked?

I have a 2012 Chevy Silverado Crew cab with a 2007 GM 9.5 14 bolt 550hp and 3, 000 stall converter I tow a boat and do street racing I need something stronger than G80 I wanted the Eaton true track but seen too many bad reviews of them coming apart after about a year of racing.

I have a vehicle I only use in the fall (off-roading) and winter (work and sometimes work trailer). I'm in Minnesota and my Gov Lock clutches burned up. Just so torn on weather to get a Gov lock which is awesome for rock climbing, bad when going fast. True track - always having to use brake to make it work or Detroit lock and worry about it locking up around corners pulling a big trailer. Any suggestions? Nothing make me more angry than watching 1 tire spin.

Worked great with 35s on my jeep but couldn't handle 39.5s in an 8.8 rear. Blew the teeth in the side gears twice. Not looking back after spooling it.

I offroad my jeep on soft desert sand dunes. Momentum is the key. Do you recommend the Detroit locker (rear) or is eaton e locker better?
?

Are these noisy? How much better is tbis than a simple lunchbox locker?

If in unlocks the wheel traveling faster forward why did the diff he is holding allow the shafts to unlock in different directions. both should unlock in same direction but only the side on outside of turn as the radius it is traveling would be greater. but would still be in same(forward) direction.
