For your soldering problem: what about experimenting with some "one-way" mirrors? You could mount a one-way mirror at a 45 degree angle, and put the camera on the bench horizontally. I think if you got enough light on the PCB, and wore a black shirt, your camera would pick up the PCB, and you could look down through the mirror and see the PCB too (think laser beam-splitter).

If you are planning to watch Ustream, i suggest installing AdBlock Plus, Ustream went mad a few years ago when they became either a corporation or a corporate branch of Telecommunications, I don't remember.

@EEVblog, I was thinking of a fun idea for your background clock. It would be pretty cool to use one of your scopes in XY mode and generate the signal inputs needed to display the face of a clock from a micro controller.

Whilst Im here, the hosts of that show have done nothing wrong, I have heard much worse and nobody killed them selves. If she was that weak in the mind for 5 seconds of air time to make her do what she did, then she should not have been in service end of. However I do empathis with her family, as it would be a great loss to any family. I wouldn't wish it on anybody.
