“We were this close to getting Stanley Tucci as leader of the Catholic Church...
All joking aside I think the theme of this film seemed to be unsought responsibility, or at least that’s what resonated with me. The lust for power can corrupt even the most devout and supposedly sefless men.
I am forever impressed by actor Ralph Fiennes.
You can feel the weight of responsiblity the entire film for choosing the next Pope.
It’s the equivalent of sticking around at your job long enough until suddenly one day, you become the keystone to holding the entire structure together. As dean of the conclave, he questions his own ability to see it to its rightful end and feels that the responsibility is on the verge of overwhelming him.

All of the Supporting cast were amazing and I think this film may be one of the most underrated ones to come out this year. “

Just watched Conclave and absolutely loved it! The cinematography, color palette, and camerawork were all top-notch—some of the best I’ve seen recently. The way the camera moved added so much to the film’s atmosphere. Highly recommend giving it a watch! The ending? Well, I’ll leave that for you to decide!”

I saw it yesterday, and now I wonder if suberbe is an Italian word. Oscar nominations in the double digits would not surprise me. Ralph, Isabella, costumes, sets, adapted screenplay especially.

Having seen the movie at TIFF, it definitely feels like it should be PG-13, but there really isn't any content in it that would be deemed inappropriate so I understand why it got the PG rating. Excellent movie!

I saw it at my Senior Center yesterday for free. Absolutely brilliant movie! Great actors, etc. I was fascinated as I know nothing of the Catholic church. A must see!!
