THANK YOU! I'm 76, just lost 170 pounds, have arthritis and acute anxiety. For years I've been eating strawberries and throwing away the greens! Tonight, I just took my partner's discarded tops and added them to my tossed green salad. I wanted more greens and we were out. Everything good in the greens is something that can benefit us both! Like you aid, even throwing them in meatballs, etc. I subbed to you. In the 70's, my ex and I had a huge garden and I never thought of eating the berry greens. Yet I ate dandilion green salad from my mil and wine from it! WOW! I just felt like I was born again tonight! Thank You once again! I take about 22 supplements a day and because we live in a tiny apt. I never have been able to grow anything. BUT...from now on I will eat every top that comes gratis free with my strawberry!

🍓🌿So happy you reminded us about this Strawberry video on 4/29/24. I just planted a new Strawberry bed, super excited to give the leaves a taste as I patiently wait for berries.

When I was a teen I would get a face blemish once in awhile and Mom gave me a B vitamin tablet to rub on the area. I don't recall what B it was, but it was a bitter white pill. It was AMAZING ! Of course, I had to clean out the yuck first, and then I'd rub the powdered pill on the sore. And they would heal OVERNIGHT! I am definitely going to try this with the leaves of my berries! Thanx for making this! Nice to know of another source for necessary C too!

Wow, I just ate a few leaves and they are very drying on the tongue. !Hard to swallow without a wash. Cut small and mix with other things for eating. Thanx!

Just Eastside comment and how wonderful and radiant your skin looks today... Us older girls that consumed many plants tend to look a lot younger than women half of our age.

My poor dog is going thru some serious health issues and srltudying about bvitamins to help him recover amazed me at what all the b vitamins do throughout the body. What? Strawberry plants can keep growing year round? My parents grew them in the vegetable garden and plowed everything at the end of the season. Then again, my grandpa planted new grape vines every year, yesterday I found out they grow year round (producing only in spring). This is amazing news.

Where I live, we have the mock berry. The leaves are tasty but the strawberry has no flavor at all. The birds and squirrels eat them because apparently they are pure protein

My strawberries are generations old they still fruit. One thing I know is they are organic I use no chemicals on them so they’re not the biggest of the bunch.

Tip from our old-somewhat eccentric- pediatrician. My little sister had a lot of warts on her hands. He told my parents to let her pick the strawberries in our garden. It worked! The warts disappeared. Apparently the strawberry leaves contain an anti-wart ingredient. I have no idea how but it worked.

interesting. I moved into a new place in november 2021. They had raised beds for a garden. I was planting tomatoes, peppers, carrots and radishes when I discovered that there were a couple strawberry plants growing next to the shed. It was nice, got a few ripe strawberries last year. I kept the plants watered and fed them with banana peel water over the summer. This year, after sending out many runners last year, the plants are doing very well and there are dozens of flowers. It will be nice to try the leaves as I didnt know that was a thing.
Also, while weeding a raised bed(mostly grasses) I discovered the previous owner had planted asparagus. BONUS!
