What Do You Feed Strawberry Plants? Strawberries are a very low-maintenance cool-climate crop that actually only gets fed twice a year. Once in the fall after the last berry has been picked and then once again right now, in the early early spring.

But what do we feed with? The short answer to that is balance....the even shorter answer to that is in today's Quickie! Enjoy.

Hello Jeff and thank you for sharing!! I placed some strawberry, tomato and cucumber seeds from store bought fruit and on a damp paper towel in a plastic container in hopes that they germinate!! I've been dying to try growing my own produce especially, strawberries and I love your great knowledge!!❤️😊🙏🏼

Can you recommend something that has all of the micronutrients needed for strawberries? All i am finding only has the iron manganese magnesium calcium and sulfur. Sometimes with zinc but never boron.

How would you suggest getting trace minerals into the soil? Is there a product you like?? Beautiful strawberries 🍓

I just got some from the nursery ... they're pretty small still and I think I even have several plants in them and will need to separate it. Probably will anyway. But I'm not sure if they were fertilized or not... could I add a bit still? Or is it too much if they did already? I also have a liquid fertilizer .. is that fine since it's only twice a year? It's 10-15-10. Sorry if this is a dumb one but is it safe to water from the top with the fertilizer in it too? Or bottom water ? I don't want to hurt the plant 🌱

I use seaweed compost. Will that provide some of those micro nutrients or should I get a liquid fertilizer as well? Great info as always and very timely.

Hi Jeff, thanks again for another helpful tip. I went a different route with my potted plants that overwintered in my cool garage. Since I was repotting them anyway, I gave them a new blend of soil with something called Pittmoss. It seems to have needed nutrients in it.

Quick question: my mother plants (just purchased last year) look very bulky, like they have a lot of crowns maybe? Some have growth, some do not. Do I need to break them up at some point? I am new to this so not sure what to do. My two "daughter" plants from last year look good. 👍
