Today on the Bear Independent show, Bear responds to the question, "What happened to the AR, bro?"

This topic is quintessential to preparedness for all doomsday preppers, homesteaders, survivalists, militia, minuteman, city prepping, rural prepper, urban prepper, normal people, or looking to prepare for SHTF WROL TEOTWAWKI or natural disaster. Whether your own personal SHTF is the 2020 elections, economic collapse, pandemic, civil unrest, martial law, food crisis, civil war, food shortage, EMP or CME, black swan event, or whatever, a prepper needs to be prepared for this topic. ***

Regardless if you’re a Viking Preparedness prepper, Canadian Prepper, into city prepping, or just normal people, you need to be ready for SHTF WROL TEOTWAWKI, which is why we’re discussing this topic today. Common prepper concerns are bug out bag, bugging out in general, food storage, security, communications, emergency preparedness, homesteading, budget, gardening, bushcrafting, end times, Torah, get home bag, survival, EDC, and all the things we discuss at this channel. ***

Subscribe for weekly Brit Hadasha (New Testament) and No Roots No Fruit Torah Study (Old Testament) Shabbat Bible readings, updates on SHTF TEOTWAWKI WROL Survival Tips, Homestead Updates, Tribal Leadership, Gear Reviews, Gardening Tips, Real World Experience and a complete lack of third-party advertising and hypothetical BS! ***

We believe at this channel that Yeshua is Messiah, that Jesus is the Christ, the anointed of YHWH. We teach and preach the prophets and the Torah of YHWH as given to Moshe (Moses) and retaught by Yeshua Messiah, Jesus Christ. It is our doctrinal foundation as Torah Observant Christians that we should keep the Torah to the best of broken ability, and not abuse the Grace of the atoning sacrifice of our Messiah Yeshua, Jesus the Christ; and that we become one with YHWH The Father through the Son, Yeshua Messiah. We are not militant Hebrew Israelites who have corrupted the words of YHWH The Father to suit their racial and political ideologies; we are whole Bible believers who keep The Way as taught by Yeshua Messiah, the Torah of YHWH The Father. ***

Why must you buy another gun?
Because bear said so.
Why must you do everything that he says?
Because.
This is the way

AR15s are reliable enough and AK47s are accurate enough.

The answer to the ar vs ak debate has always been "yes"

Clint Smith used to say that the AK rifle is the most common rifle on the planet. It doesn’t matter if you get off the boat in Cairo, Egypt or Cairo, chances are good you’ll find an AK somewhere.

As a former Marine with combat experience, I wouldn’t give a polished turd for an M16/AR. Absolute garbage when exposed to harsh environments for extended periods. It’s AK all day for me, just my honest opinion.

As a professional gunsmith of almost 16 years, I pride myself in the knowledge that I can pick up ANYTHING and figure out how to make it run. Cross train people, don't limit yourself to one tool! A damn slam fire shotgun will work to improve what you have.

Ammo is still somewhat available at this point so far. Alot easier to find and cheaper than .556

I got my AR, but AK guy at heart. I've been rocking my AK-74 and AK-47 for awhile, and my Norinco Mak-90 was my first rifle growing up. That was my deer rifle for the Ozarks. I don't know what 5.45x39 costs anymore cause I bought so many 1, 000 round cases when they were less than $200 a case. If anyone is looking for one platform that can rock AR mags and AK calibers, look at the IWI Galil. I rock my 5.45 as a SHTF gun, but keep stripper clips of 5.56 in my bag. It would take years for me to have the experience I have on a AK, for a AR. So until then, I'm rocking the AK

Good video brother. I agree, and have both for pretty much the same reasons. It was nice to finally have some time to watch one of your vids. Keep up the good work. I hope to see you soon in the Ozarks. Keep your head on a swivel!

"battlefield pickup" is something a lot of people don't think about. in a WROL or SHTF situation where you get into a gun fight, if you survive, you'll have additional resources, namely, gun/ammo. What you own isn't nearly as importantly as what you're familiar with using.

I’ve always looked at it like this: I’m comfortable with my AK, it’s not an uncommon weapon by any stretch, and I have ammo already bought up for it. I have enough 7.62 put away that if I run out, one of two things will inevitably be true: Either A: Things have gotten to a level of violence that I am unlikely to survive regardless of my choice of rifle or B: I’ve lived long enough that if I need an AR, I’ll be able to get one.

AK platform is a great way to go. They work in all kinds of conditions not to mention looks awesome with the sharp pointy thing attached to the end of it.

I COMPLETELY agree with having versatility when it comes to SHTF bang stick platforms. Don’t be afraid to broaden your spectrum and be best prepared.

Not knocking AR’s but agree with you on the enjoyment of shooting AK’s. I can also bury my AK in the field, dig it up next spring and shake it off and run a mag through it.

A lot of people would argue in favor of the AR being it’s America’s rifle and they are plentiful but it’s hard to argue against the durability of a well built AK. Funny thing is that I can locally find more 7.62x39 at cheaper prices (granted, it’s steel-cased) than 5.56 so owning at least 1 AK or more, isn’t a bad idea. I love my AMD 63/65 and she runs like a boss.
