Indices - simplify with a power of negative one third

This video is all about negative indices and forms part of that playlist. I've also added to GCSE higher revision.

There's no easy way of writing the question in this description - as it doesn't allow brackets. The main thing is that the expression has a power of negative one third. This means it needs to be treated as a reciprocal.

I hope the video helps and please do leave a comment - thanks!

To the power of a third means, the cube root but y squared to the power of a third equals y to the power of two thirds. But y to the power of two thirds cubed, = y to the power 8/27? I'm confused
