Friend, you blasted me right back to my childhood! My dad started a business placing coin operated laundry equipment in apartments. If I had a dime for every time he pulled a baby sock out of a water pump he woulda died rich!

When I’m invited to a baby shower one of my gifts is always a lingerie bag. I tell the mom-to-be to put the tiny socks and such in the bag “to keep them together in the wash.” But you and I know the REAL reason I do it! 😊

Ive been a small engine/power equipment tech for over 15 years now. Sometimes im still amazed at the gold you find in the trash. I picked up a 394xp Husqvarna chainsaw from my local scrap yard last year. It wasn't perfectly but it still ran. I put about 150 in parts in and its worth 500-800 now.

I got on line, ordered the part for $7 and even found another video to watch a couple of time while taking the dryer apart. it was easy and step by step. thank you sir for your help. the repairman wanted to charge me $85 an hour.

That machine was made by Alliance Laundry Systems LLC, mfg of Speed Queen for Whirlpool. It contains the same design and parts of SQ TC5 model. It's a beast of a machine.

I drug home 2 vacuums from dumpsters. The first my own, a neighbor tossed it, and then 1 or 2 blocks away. BOTH had blocked flex hoses. That is it. 3 minutes tops to 'fix' both.

33 years ago I fixed the pump on my landlord's twin tub washing machine when I took out a 1" panel pin out of the pump impeller. When I told him what I did he gave me a week's rent off.😊

I have the same washing machine! Over 20 years I've replaced the timer switch and bypassed the lid switch... Still going strong.

Around here, refurbished washers that old sell for $100-$200. You're not going to get $300+ unless it's almost new.

What it costs to get a service agent, have him come to the house... Having to stay in for him to look at it...

THEN have him take time to repair it, plus parts and tax...

You could have bought an new washer with a warranty.

Not sure about where you are, but here in the UK it is often cheaper to replace a washer than fix them.
