What’s eating Gilbert Grape. I recommend watching the movie first because unless you watch the movie first, it’s hard to understand the mother character who in my opinion is the main character in this book.

Beach Read, Book Lovers, and Happy Place are my FAVORITE Emil Henry’s. While I didn’t much care for Funny Story or People We Meet on Vacation. It’s funny how everyone has different opinions on her books! Happy Place is my all time favorite, I resonated with it so much because my dad lived on a lake and was selling his house while i read that book about their last summer at their friends dads lake house! I could see my friend group in that book and i loved it. I highly recommend Happy Place! Especially if you liked Love and Other Words cuz Happy Place is also a second chance romance and fake dating (:
