Find Your Eye Shape before you pluck your brows

Trends can be fun. They can take us out of our comfort zone and allow us to experiment and find a different way, or colour.

Trends are also there it sell product. There are no new trends. Everything comes in circles. It was the BOLD brow. Now the STRAIGHT brow. Soon it will be the ARCHED brow, then THIN... etc...

While its completely true that i do favour a "straighter" brow you notice i said "straighter" not straight. On my videos using models i never recreate a different brow from what they have. I tend to follow what is there. Often if a brow is very arched i might try and "tame it" slightly but i would never change it completely.

At the end of the day, its your face. Your style. And your money. You must do what works for you and makes you happy. After all, its just makeup :)

If you have fine enough brows then you can play around and see which shape you prefer.

On me, i prefer a straight brow. On most women i prefer a straighter brow with a "SLIGHT" arch. But again, no rules.

Would love to read your comments and any thing brow related in the comments section.

Thank you for your time.

AMEN to that Wayne. I have natural thick brows, and while back when thin brows were everything I used to feel very insecure about them and women used to tell me ''why don't you pluck them thin etc etc'' And you know what. now that the thicker brows are in those same women are saying things like ''Oh I wish I had your brows they are so full'' It's so crazy how trends define us people, just rock your own thing. I am damn happy with my full brows they have a defined shape so i only have to pluck a few hairs and I dont really have to fill them in. Hooray for natural brows. :)

My son is 10 and has alopecia and has since lost his eyebrows. He rocks it and owns it. He is the best kid ever. Some kids would think it was the end of the world to be completely bald with no brows at 10 but he just goes on about his life and is still his goofy self.

One thing I love about you is that you are a real artist. You don't play into trends and you're more interested in the artistry side and not just makeup. I think a lot of makeup artists these days are more into the popular looks and just mimic what they see done on YouTube. And I can honestly say that I truly appreciate your knowledge and authenticity, and I strive to become an artist like you.

By the Way: you look very nice in this video and I really like the bearded look on you lol.

Honestly I'd rather my brows looked naturally straight than look like I'm constantly surprised.

I thoroughly regret every single time I've made my brows into a shape that isn't close to my natural one. I WISH SOMEONE TOLD ME THIS EARLIER

I've never understood why eyebrow shapes were ever "trends" why not just go with whatever suits your face best/is your natural shape and rock it!

I really appreciate the fact that you have your opinion on trends but your mostly trying to promote self beauty and self worth no matter what brow you have. It's not always about looks it's about being happy with yourself and if you're happy with yourself it shows and makes you more beautiful and I really love the fact that you're trying to say that in this video

Wow, this video quality is outstanding! It's like you're sitting across from me talking. The lighting in your videos has also improved dramatically. It is amazing how you can better concentrate on what you're telling/showing us when these 2 things are on point. Plus, the sound of your voice and your handsome face doesn't hurt either. You know you're stuff, there's no denying that

THANK YOU! I hate all of these makeup trends. I just don't feel like they apply to most people. Everyone's face is different. What suits some won't suit all!

my eyebrows are straighter than I am (:

The only reason straight brows are "a masculine look" is because for the longest time, women were encouraged to have an arch in their brows.

Wayne is one of my favorite human beings ever. He is so sweet and really cares about protecting the audience he's speaking to. He doesn't seem to care about the money or fame, he just wants people to feel beautiful!

I've never felt comfortable with the idea of having an eyebrow shape that didn't follow my natural shape. I really don't do much to my eyebrows except pluck stray hairs. I enjoy a nice arch. :)

And this is one of the many reasons why I love you, Wayne. You care to look your best but know where to draw the line. You just don't disappoint with your videos. Your advice is full of honesty and a genuine desire to help your audience. Thanks for leading me to give myself permission to love my brows!
I have to agree with some of the comments, you do look extra handsome in this video. Officially crushing 😍

I totally agree with you, Wayne. I've been wearing cosmetics for over 45 years, and trends, come, and they go. Not too many new, revolutionary ways to apply makeup, or style your eyebrows.
