The only thing i would recommend is a diagram or definition popping up on screen when you use terms like “Hyzer” or “Anhyzer”. Those are not normal terms people know before coming into disc golf. You could also show the flight paths of discs and highlight which part is the finish (fade) and the turn in flight.

Just started picking up disc golf last weekend, I'm glad I found your videos, my wife bought me an Innova set of 3 for my birthday came with a Valkyrie, leopard 3, and a putter thought I could just get out and bomb the "distance driver" was humbled quickly lol

New guy to the game here, played for the first time this weekend and looking to get into it more, but I’m definitely feeling like a lot of vocabulary here isn’t explained. Some of the terms I’m sort of able to piece together what you’re talking about, but by halfway through I noticed myself scrolling on my phone because I couldn’t keep up with the mile-a-minute terminology. Will definitely end up rewatching this as I learn more about the things you’re mentioning.

My dad has been getting into disc golf with me this year. He played a bit in college, but that was about 3 decades and 7 knee surgeries ago. Started him out last month with a Z Zombee, ESP Buzzz, and a Jawbreaker Magnet. Later added in a Heat for him. Glad to see I chose well.

I’d also heavily recommend a judge as a putter. It’s relatively cheap, at 10$, and an a staple of the sport. You can pick them up almost anywhere stock up them use them as practice putters, and just a very true flyer.

I have noticed a ton of new players in my area and appreciate the content you are creating for people new to the sport. I would recommend some videos of you throwing the disc after you describe the flight path so people can visually see what you are talking about. Great video and keep up the good work!

This is a brilliant idea you guys. All for this. Build off the type of series Danny Lindhal did.

Been playing about a year. Wish I knew this back then. Just started going back to the basics like this. Hopefully it will help. Thank you!

I have been playing too long to get anything out of these videos, but a good video. I like when it is highlighted that stick with understable/straight putters and mids.

Since this is a Discraft video, I highly recommend to catch with a friend e.g. with an Ultimate Ultra star) frisbee or J-Star frisbee. Once you learn to throw that cleanly so that it doesn't turn into a roller (on its edge like a car tire) then you can throw almost anything. This does not apply only beginners.

I'm relatively new to disc golf, but have my bag figured out (I think), but this was still found very helpful!

This would've been clutch when I got started. I really hope this gets to a lot of beginners

Really helpful! I’ve been practicing and playing a lot more lately and I’ve been watching form videos, and this was still really helpful. And it’s a great video to share with people that I’m getting into disc golf!

Beginner guide: stick to putters and stable mids, stay away from those drivers! Especially the ones with over 10 speed!

Me when I started:
*picks a 14 speed distance driver as a first disc*

I found his very helpful. I am new to disc golf and have been trying to figure out what discs to get and in what plastics. So I appreciate this video.

One of the best build a beginner bag! Thanks👍

The plastics made a big difference for me when I first starting out less than a year ago. I used the baseline plastic in my starter kit. For midranges and the slower drivers, it is good to start with but not for the putter. Putter is definitely all about feel. Discraft's Z-Lone plastic had never felt good in my hands, but the ESP plastic sure does.

Great advice. Thanks. I appreciated you sharing about the shape of the disc so I can have an idea of the flight characteristics without knowing the disc.
