It's pretty sad that we've become so accustomed as a society, to seeing older people in like their 20's, playing teens, that everyone's first reaction is to assume they look super young, when in actuality, they're almost the same age as the characters they play.

These books were my childhood! I didn't even mind them changing some of the girls backgrounds/ethnicities, although I was slightly annoyed to see that Jesse was a lighter complexion; the book covers always portrayed her to be dark skinned but hey, ya can't please everyone. Either way, I enjoyed it. Nice and light hearted and included storylines from the original books while slightly changing around a few things. Hope there's a season two!

I love how they included different ethnicities and backgrounds, although I do wish that they had more darkskin representation!

As someone who grew up with the books, the original TV series, and movie adaptation, this version still feels like the same characters/world. The way they updated and tailored it to each character was smart and organic. Hoping for a s2!
