Love your channel. I went from monthly pay to bi weekly. That was an adjustment! I have a budget that was super intense when getting rid of debt. know I have a loose budget as there is more wiggle room. Good luck with your move. And if your into saving money and meal prep - an instant pot is a uber money saver for making batch lunches (curries, stews, legumes, etc). All the best.

My budget is set by rent, and I pay the same amount every month for electricity on a budget plan. I also got rid of cable and got an antenna, mostly because they were charging a $5 a month broadcast fee for the major networks and I don't like a lot of the network's content! I have found having a yearly budget with things like car registration/inspection, insurance, I put money aside every month and then have it to pay the bills. Love, your perspective!

I'm more of a loose budget person. Savings is a must. I get paid once a month and do check in on myself throughout the month. I'm careful but not super strict. I rarely buy on a whim like I used to when I was a young woman. It's amazing what some kicks in life will do! I've learned the hard way and do my best to make smarter decisions.

Wow good topic. I personally could easily throw my budget out the window and just cruise nicely! I am frugal for the most part. However, when things get tough or Murphy happens I like to be able to have something I can look at on paper or spreadsheet and tweak accordingly. Sometimes, I get fed up for sure. My food budget is flexible to allow for good sales to stock up. Pet food this week is half price even though it's end of the month. I have gone over budget this month in order to save pet food costs next month. It's a juggling act always. ;-)

I need to see a budget on paper. I look at my budget several times per week and make adjustments as necessary. Having it written down helps me plan for things like graduation and birthday gifts, my annual homeowners insurance, trips, etc. I have a tendency to overspend so I need to keep myself in check regularly :). I also watched the Living on a Dime video on not having a budget. I think one of their points was that you may budget more than you need for something like groceries or clothing and end up spending more on things than you would have just being frugal if there is still some money left in that category.

I like budgeting because it gives me an idea of where the money is going. At the beginning of the month, I make a rough budget and adjust accordingly. I don't stress over every dollar though and don't do envelopes.

And, the queen of budgeting must be Pennies into Pearls, YouTube channel. Britney is so energetic, shows real numbers, living on one income, and save up for holidays and even downpayment on a house. So impressed of her. There you can truly see what a budget can do. I can never be as organized as she is, but everyone can take home a few tips and tricks.

We are a family of 5, I consider myself a moderately frugal, don’t like budgets but I am intentionally with my money. I save an amount each month. For any emergency, so for myself the antibudget works better for me .

Hello Doctor Whimsey. I believe that the reason my hair is going gray at one side is because of vitamin b12 deficiency. Apparently the problem is that the stomach is not acidic enough, so I am taking a spoonful of apple cider vinegar before meals. I wonder is taking it neat like this going to burn the throat or something, or should i dilute it with water?
