In this weeks episode we carry out the remedial work following an EICR we carried out for a customers whose property is in North London.

The electrical installation condition report we carried out flagged up a number of issues including earthing matters, non-complaint power points and lights. The major job however was replacing the old dual tariff consumer unit with MCBs for a newer version with RCBOs.

The episode starts with us replacing an old shaver point and bathroom light fitting. We then move on to solve the issue with earthing on the metal class 1 light fitting. After a bit of fault finding we able to establish the cause of the earth fault and rectify it.

On the second day we remove the old and install a new fuseboard. Enjoy!

I like when you said take your time do the job right and don't rush. There are too many psychopaths running businesses rushing and bullying others. Life is too short to be wasting it cos of unnecessary stress and pressure. Cheers.

You are amazing personality and sense of humour. I appreciate your works, courage and way of working. I am a beginner in electrician works. Hope we will get much information watching your videos. Just need more information when you use a particular tool or equipment e.g. multimeter or a Driver .

I like the new intro in your videos. I agree on rushing, nothing good comes out of it. Continuous honest work at normal pace is the right way to do the job.

nice one Del, I use bushes when doing smaller dbs like that with double lock rings to stand it off the trunking slightly to allow a gap for the lid, but prefer to use paxolin when doing bigger stuff to give myself lots of room for the cables to enter :-) great vids keep an em up pal.

I just installed a Hager board with a bunch of their compact RCBOs. They do make it a doddle to install, with all that extra space.

What voltage do you bring into residential homes in the UK? Was that 240v to the fixtures and devices? Love the vids by the way. Just cool to see how things are done in other part of the world. From your vids so far i confirmed blue is neutral. In Canada its white
