TOP 10 Must-Know DAYZ 1.20 Changes

DayZ update 1.20 has just been released so here is my top 10 list of the changes you need to know going into update 1.20

Man I wish they woulda Added a cooler Cosmetic items. Civilian Clothes w good inventory slots.
Also wish NVG’s & SVD’s spawned In static Gas Zones!

A lot of thislngs got fixed or patched yet they seem to have broken our inventory system now.

I had the stealth kill teleport bug happen to me once, ended up under the map in an invisible lake. Logging out and back in put me back on the map tho. Glad they fixed it regardless

The explosives actually lasting longer then a few hours is a huge boon and plus to the use of trip wires and mining key areas of loot or importance

Oh well that's nice to know about the vehicles. If i can ever find one! Literally spent one whole week trying to find a single vehicle and yet I didn't see one ever! Had all the gear to get it started too. 😡

There is a bug where if you exit a moving vehicle no matter what speed you will get flung out of the map, relogging fixes it

Funny thing about shooting in gun, that is in the hands of another player. I used to be in situation when someone shooted at me and I had no damage, but after I realized that my gun was ruined😂

My 8 hr character fully geared died to a Wolfpack after inventory bugging out yesterday on console. DayZ still dayzing

The fireplace no longer being able to be used as a makeshift spikestrip is gonna be a bummer.


I’ll probably upload it but I was playing on a server that spawned EVERYONE in a single town and there were 4 vehicle spawns in the same town in order to “escape”


Needless to say, the vehicles were prone to sabotage, you can be the first one in the seat and someone will already be ripping out the spark plug, someone else will be taking off the wheels, and someone else will be knocking you unconscious.


The one time I actually made it out of spawn with a vehicle, I was with 2 other people driving them. One of them was going on being a “soldier” and we suddenly hit a fireplace spikestrip and our vehicle flips.

We all crawl out of the vehicle and then 2 people show up with guns out of the tree line. The “soldier” immediately surrenders and says he will be a POW. (Must’ve been French) and the other guy tries to make a run for it but gets shot and the “soldier” shortly after.


As for me… I crawled under the ambushers car and kept eating their jar of strawberry jam they left in it. I survived and the server shortly restarted after that.

The big thing about the gun being hit isnt just the fact that you can capture people. But if someone is spraying shots at you in a firefight, even if you dont get hit you may still get taken out of action because your gun gets fucked up.
