You don't have to rip it. There is other ways like the outline, texture, and the back outline color.

i need help telling whether my cards are fake. they are japanese, but they are super thin and i cant see a blue line at the side. i got it from a friend who says he is a pokemon expert(im not sure about that) and he says its real. its a ex card and tho i dont understand japanese it looks nice so i dont wanna tear it all up. can anyone pls help? is it real?

Just tear up a common from the same pack you get a hood card from, he’s not saying to rip up your tg/aa/etc
