They all do, but when it's a serious question they all of a sudden forget.

Shogun in good shape would still beat him for the 3rd time, his chin is just to good and just eats everything Machida has to offer...same cant be said about Machida's chin and will eventually get caught again

Brandon Vera - "I got to fight one of my heroes, fight somebody who I've looked up to ever since before I got into the game"
Brandon Vera MMA debut - July 2002
Mauricio Rua MMA debut - November 2002
Vera has looked up to Shogun as a Mixed Martial Artist since before Shogun was a Mixed Martial Artist :O

I'm sick of people saying Shogun looked bad, the Vera that showed up last night would have blown Bader away! The fact that Shogun stopped Vera shows how good he really is. Obviously Machida looked great too.

Dana White and the UFC NEEDS to do this more often, get a group of the top 4-6 fighters in the division and whoever wins most impressively will get the title shot. I'm tired of fighters trying to win conservatively on points being promised title fights for the win.

i think Shogun didn't go all force cause he knew, deep down, that he wasn't gonna be the one to dethrone Jon Jones. Lyoto has the best chance to beat Jon Jones.

shogun vs gustafsson would be a great match

Listening to Vera you would think he was victorious. Unless I'm mistaken, he took a beating and got knocked out cold! I must admit it was one of the best cards I've ever seen.

Shogun vs. Thiago Silva or Shogun vs. Gustafsson would be great, but Shogun vs. Machida 3 would be a dream come true haha.

Yeah totally agree with you. Shogun is slowly starting to remind me of Wandy. Too many wars, too many knee problems. He's still young yet his body has taken a beating. Machida looked sharp as usual and I do think he's the only guy right now at 205 that can beat Jones. Although would love to see Hendo pull of the upset.

I really wish Shogun could keep the same pace he had in Japan.
