My favorite part of every Shogun victory speech is when he tells us "I traina hard. I traina hard at jiu jits."

I know, Vera deserves credit and Shogun deserves credit. Both guys deserve it. You can't beat this card really. It's one of the best I've ever seen.

Thank u!Finally some1 who knows what they are talking about:)

Shogun is dangerous EVERY where; In the clinch, on the ground, on the feet

Shogun is an extremely skilled&well rounded fighter. Not just that, Shogun also possesses qualities u cant teach like heart, will, chin & BIG KO power

Shogun literally has IT ALL except TDD

With Shogun its just a matter of him being healthy enough to show off his world class skills&having the cardio to do so ect

The dude can strike, grapple ect.Shogun is a beast

The Vera that fought Shogun was the best version the Ufc has ever seen. He gave it all. It took Rua to bring the real Truth out of Vera. But Shogun took it all and beat him on the ground. He is humble and sees what he has to work on. Great fight. Can't understand the hate on Shogun!!!

Man, these comments from a decade ago are a breath of fresh air compared to all the negativity nowadays!

respect for Rua, even in victory he is humble and sees his faults, hopes he fixes his conditioning problem

I did not think Shogun was going to win for a second. If the Shogun that fought Machida at 104 and 113 shows up, its a long night for the guy across the octagon. Shogun gassed fast, but he still managed a win. The man has heart, just no cardio anymore

I'm glad that Rogan asked him the tough question about his performance. When Shogun admitted that fatigue is what held him back in this fight, I think that influenced Dana to give Machida the title shot over Shogun

That "shorter guy" is Mauricio Shogun Rua.Shogun is a legit legend of the sport-a warrior with an unbreakable will to win

Shogun ALWAYS looks 4 the TD when it's there;he'll get it most of the time too

Shogun just so happens to be VERY capable/VERY dangerous on the feet with BIG BIG POWER(punches & kicks)&a granite chin

Shogun was beating Vera BADLY on the feet throughout the 2nd.Shogun tired himself out. Still got the KO in the 4th
