I tried my DOD fx 52 for the first time in about 30 years again. With the tone and fuzz to the max you kind of get the "Satisfaction" tone, but with lots of hum.

The Rat block diagram goes like this: JFET buffer --> op amp --> silicon clipping diodes --> low-pass filter --> JFET buffer

Sweet, I always enjoyed Mike's demos...although he hasn't posted anything in while...cool demo though the Danoelectro sounded a lot better than i expected

The You Dirty Rat uses germanium diodes, not transistors. I'm not even sure if it has any discrete transistors, the Rat in general is mostly op-amp based.

cool vid man. I think some people consider the rat a fuzz in the some way that they consider the old boss hm3 a fuzz-because they both use germanium transistors. Dont hold me to that though-I'm not 100% sure of that fact. You do gotta admit that the rat tends to fuzz out at higher gain settings.

try to change em as soon as you can, theyv put nines on em and they resonate way better with tens and not to mention feel way better in my opinion

Hey, cool video. Thanks for sharing. Ive a ?, who makes that IC muff clone, and do you know if theyre still available? Well two ?s I guess. That v1 dan electro fuzz, does that sound different/better than the newer ones? Thanks. Ck out the Ibanez fz7 fuzz, just got one used for 10 bucks and it sounds pretty damn good. Cool. Thanks man.
