1. Right click your network icon in the taskbar and select network and sharing center
2. Select your Ethernet connection
3. Select "Properties"
4. Select "Configure"
5. Select "Advanced"
6. Find Speed and Duplex, it may be on autonegoation, force 1 Gbps Full Duplex

This saved my day. No need for any of the fixes suggested in this video :) hope it helps

Randomly found this video. Had doubts about the solution. The file transfer between my Win7 desktop and Win10 laptop was so slow at 2 MB/s. Typed in "netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled" and rebooted the pcs. Then the speed was bumped up to 15 MB/s. The speed is still low, but now at least it is 7 times faster than before!
Thank you!

For those who are still having no luck with this, make sure your interface speed is not showing 100 MB/s while it should be 1 GB/s or more. If all your drivers are up to date and you configured your PC as shown here, get a new cable that actually supports GB/s. Ask how not how I know 🙂

"the parameter is incorrect", CMD line seems to be incorrect, , Managed to find the correct CMD line online, , , " . That is the one that worked for me. The device manager steps are all good.

Helpful, but that wiggling cursor gets old real fast- the big red arrow does what is needed without it.

If setting autotuning to disabled and disabling large send offload fixes the problem. Do I still undo the changes. The video makes it sound like you are supposed to

I test both on my Windows 10, neither works. In the second approach, the cmd prompt command is executed correctly but my wireless adapter properties do not have "large send offload" option. Anyway, Windows sucks. The WiFi status shows speed over 100Mbps but the file transfer rate is only 2Mbps.

Went from 2mbps to 110mbps after disabling Large Send Offload

Hi Im trying to work my way through your video to correct the appallingly slow speed of transfer on my PC running Windows 10, but when I get to the part about going into Device Manager and finding the Network Adapter, there isn't one listed, so Im really stuck on that bit. In this instance, where and how would I find my Network Adapter? Thanks for any help you may give. Kind regards Steve

And after all that, ,, your speed is EXACTLY the same lol... It was worth a try I guess. SMB just cant get over 5mbs for uploading... Airdroid smokes this out of the water even if it only hits 8-10 mbps, , but with that app your phones can send back and fourth, its more reliable than google's file thing. Someone else said use an sd-usbc adapter, , if you dont mind messing with that stuff its a decent option, but you're still only getting like 20mbps depending on your hardware etc. ....same if you plug in the phone. There is no great way to achieve this short of setting up a fancy expensive NAS system and then you're back to SMB nightmare again.
