I actually used to hitch some 20 years ago. Before I was married with a family. I never met one bad person (luckily) and of course I never hurt one person either. I was very very lucky, but many of my friends weren't. I have many crazy stories from them and things I saw on the road. Especially when I went through Mexico and South America. Yes, hitchhiking nowadays isn't the best way to travel, but if I'm driving a truck I pick up one now and again and they get in the back. I wouldn't let anyone in the cab.

Starting @ the age of 14 I hitchhiked all across the good ol' U.S. of A. without having 1 problem or proposition. I met the coolest of truck drivers & other people traveling. I wouldn't have changed anything about my hitchhiking! Of course this all happened in the 80's. Love my memories made!
