Hey if you dug this video, check this one out!

To answer some of the common replies.

"Or just stop being vegan"
No thanks.

"Why did you put vegan cheese on a real burger?"
It's Impossible meat.

Also, this is how I melted non-vegan cheese before going vegan. It's a common diner trick. Do you think they made melting domes just for vegan cheese? LOL.

EDIT:
And lastly, I'm not debating veganism with you knuckleheads. It's always the same tired 3-4 arguments. Like literally we are just trying to not contribute to harming animals as much as possible. It's ridiculous that anybody could argue against that, but here we are!

This also applies for other low moisture cheeses

Hadn't seen your videos on my feed for while, stoked to see you're still at it! A while ago I tried vegan cheeses slices here in NZ supermarkets, for so much money I found they also tasted like flavorless plastic, so I've gotta try see if there's other brands or diy recipes...

Good tip! I'm not vegan and didn't know that cheese substitutes don't melt quite as well.

Bro people be saying stuff like "tastes lab grown" or "I'll take the real stuff" while making extremely processed meats and using Kraft singles that can't even call themselves cheese lmao

Yay! I haven't had a lot of vegan cheese but it seems to need a bit of moisture to actually melt. My friend made a homemade pizza which doesn't have any tomato sauce. In places where it was dry, the cheese didn't melt. But where it was wetter, like on a juicy tomato, it melted just fine. So when I wanted to make a grilled cheese, I added vegan butter to the inside of the sandwich and it melted just fine.

Imagine someone walks up to you with a burger, they hold it out to you and all they say is.

Great short! I remember the first time I saw you do this, immediately tried it on a breakfast sandwich and worked perfectly!

I'm vegetarian, and just found your channel through this video. Haven't been able to take the leap to be vegan, but hope to do it someday. Binged a couple of your videos and subscribed. On another note it amazes me how many people take time out of their day to insult your helpful videos and lifestyle (honestly something I've noticed on so many vegetarian/vegan videos) . Just very odd to read comments like that especially when you're not forcing anything and they can just keep living their lifestyle as well. Keep up the great work! Do you have any tips for vegan baking, specifically cake? I struggle with texture when I remove eggs from recipes.

I actually had a cheeseburger about 30 minutes ago. 😄
Daiya melts like a champ! I just lay a piece of foil over the skillet and it does the trick…no water needed.

This is a great tip for anything that isn't american cheese, here in Spain we use more hard (?) chesses and they need the extra motivation to melt

I love violife cheese, I don't even need to add water to the pan. Just cook burger through, add cheese, cover and turn the stove off. The residual heat does the rest.
