My mother told the story about her brother-in-law. They were brought to Germany from the East as laborers. That brother-in-law became a JW and started bugging the Nazi police and other officials with his observation that their actions are not matching up with Christianity (his idea of it). He did this to the point where these Nazis became exacerbated with the daily need to confront some other doctrinal debate. So, they put him in jail! After a while, they released him so he could go back to work. My mom refused to allow him into the rooms they were renting after he tried to convince him that wearing her wedding ring was a sin.

I always question them about the name. They say we don’t know how it is pronounced.
I say we do know how it ISN’T pronounced. His name never included a J or a V because those characters are not in the Hebrew alphabet. Then they start with the “it doesn’t matter how we say it.” Can’t have it both ways. I generally begin by commending them on their reverence for the name before pointing out the discrepancy, also I admonish the organization for how it corrects itself when learning they’ve been in error. But they are adamant about using a false name and do exactly what other religions do on the same subject. The name is of utmost importance- getting it right is too.

You`re spot on Rob! Everything you said was correct! In regards to the Bible, I have their Bible and the changes they made are minor and if you`re true believer you can`t be fooled. When someone has Jesus, He revived our death spirit, it is not possible to full us with their lies. When I listen to them, I feeling the sadness of the Holy Ghost. Jehovah's witnesses only believe Jesus was resurrected as spirit, but bible says He also had a physical body.

You are sooo right, people that are not saved can’t understand differences between denominations. My Jewish parents are actually defending Catholics from me even though they hate all Christians. (I am not sure how they feel about me)

JWs worship Almighty God and pray to him in the name of Jesus Christ. They believe you need to 'do things' to be saved. ie: do the will of my Father in heaven. ( words of Christ) They go door to door as part of the Great Commission. Also, the Trinity Doctrine was develop in the 4th century, meaning for roughly 300 years Christians were non- trinitarian. Cult? Any corporate type worship has aspects of a cult. Everyone doing basically the same thing. Sharing the same views. Catholics are a great example.

The JWs believe only 144, 000 will go to heaven. At Easter (they call it nissen14) only those who believe that they are one of the 144 00 can take communion and I'm not sure but I think it's only men that can partake
