Ingredients:-
1 cup fresh Fenugreek leaves, boiled, drained, cooled and chopped roughly ( weighed after boiling.)
½ cup Green Peas, boiled
2 tbsp. Ghee
1-2 Bay leaves
1 tsp. Cumin Seeds
1 tbsp. Ginger, Garlic and Green Chilli crushed
1 cup boiled Onion paste
1 tbsp. Roasted Gram Flour
1 cup boiled Cashew nut Paste
2 cup Water
1 tbsp. Garam Masala Powder
1 tsp. Sugar
1 cup Fresh cream
Salt as required

Method:-
- Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds, bay leaves, ginger-garli-green chilli crush and stir for 30-40 seconds.
- Add boiled onion paste, roasted gram flour and cook on high flame for 2-3 minutes.
- Add boiled cashew nut paste and cook for a minute on medium flame.
- Then add water and mix using a whisk followed by garam masala powder, sugar, boiled green peas and simmer on low flame for 30-40 seconds.
- Now add the fenugreek and salt.
- Mix well and add fresh cream.

Methi Matar Malai is ready to serve! HAPPY COOKING!!!

Just wow..I tried it yesterday and it turned out really yummy. I stir fried the methi for a 1 min after blanching just to remove the bitter taste before adding it to gravy. Adding besan works great.

This recipe is easy and simple. For those of you who don’t wanna boil multiple times, you can boil onion and cashews together. Worked out perfect for me.

Excellent recipe Chef! A good change from our normal tomato-mirch-haldi based gravies..The slight bitterness of methi, sweetness of peas and the creamy richness of the gravy seems to be a good combination, will soon be giving this a try.
