After Windows 10 upgrade, most users reported that can’t change the resolution on their Windows 10 devices, which can be quite annoying and affect various online activities.

In order to enjoy a good display experience, screen resolution settings on your computer were set so you can change or adjust them to suit your viewing pleasure.

Much as it may seem to be a typical problem, where the screen literally freezes at the most basic resolution, or you find the setting grayed out so you cannot change it, there is a cause and fixes to it.

Sometimes you would not be able to find an option to change the screen resolution because the drop-down freezes, or it always reverts to the old resolution. Even worse, the monitor doesn’t display the native resolution. In this tutorial, I am talking about how to fix the problem, if you can’t change the screen resolution in Windows 11/10.

Fix Can’t Change Screen Resolution in Windows 10: With Microsoft new Windows 11 there seems to be a typical problem in which users can’t change the screen resolution of their desktop. The screen freezes at the basic resolution and when you go to screen resolution settings in Windows 11, it seems to be grayed out which means you can’t change the setting. The main cause of this issue seems to be incompatible or outdated Display Drivers which seems to conflict with Windows and hence creating the problem.

my problem is that i wanna make my screen smaller using resolution so like theres black bars on the side of your screen you know but suddenly i cant anymore and now it just makes my screen stretched instead of smaller
