I spent so many years as a child imagining how they did this! It’s good to finally know how it’s really done

I was about to go to bed but suddenly had a question on how they do underwater construction. Thanks for this, now I can sleep.

who else watches these videos not because you do this for work or because you need to know it but because you are actually interested in it

Human ingenuity has never failed to amaze me, I mean everything from thinking of a solution to building the pile driver.

This is the best engineering channel by far. Straight to the point, very educational, clear explanations and graphics. Well done my friend

Am I an engineer or engineering student? No. Do I ever plan on working in construction or the building of a bridge? No. Did I watch the whole video? Yes I did. I So fascinating to me. 😀👍

Very beautifully explained through visuals. Just 1 week ago i was travelling through train and crossed such bridge wondering how are they even made underwater providing support to tons of weight. Now i understood the concept. ThankYou Sir

its crazy how much effort goes into building a single pier. Lovely explanation and summary of the whole process. Ive always wondered how this is done when looking at a bridge

This is so complex. Thank you to the civil engineers who do this work.

I’m a civil engineer student and it makes me proud that I understood and are familiar with the terms and steps they describe here

I love how meticulous yet simple to understand your descriptions are. It's a subtle form of art.

Can you go into more depth on how the coffer dam is removed? How can they be cut at that level safely? Wouldn't water rush in and create a hazard?

Loved the illustrations. It helped us our better understanding on how bridges were built in the middle of the oceans.

Just amazing. Human ingenuity is endless. How did anyone come up with this idea. Just amazing.

Really great videos! It's nice to know the minutia about how engineering challenges like these are tackled.

I don't have any knowledge on construction much less engineering these complicated structures but i was well informed by this video.
Hats off to the entire team of workers who do these types of jobs.

I did enjoy it. Assume once the concrete bridge support is completed and the cofferdam (piling and sheet piles) are to be moved, it must be cut with torches by divers and the pieces removed using a crane with some type of jaw. Because once the dam is removed, water will rush into the void space.
