In this one I repair my SDS drill case where both the latches have ripped their catches out of the blow moulding.

A lot of companies don't even give you a case anymore. The race to the bottom of the $hit heap has begun! Nice fix.

Nice fix. I usually first try fixing things like this by plastic welding using a soldering iron and a zip tie as a filler rod.

I would have glued the alu brackets to the case as well, and then rivet it as a belts ‘n braces approach. Without the glue all forces are transferred to the plastic surrounding the rivet holes and I would suspect that to tear sooner or later.But as my dear other half always says: your work is always made to carry elephants.
