Hong Kong's legal system encourages Italian companies and others to, where possible, sign their contracts in Hong Kong because of the certainty that entails, says Claudio de Bedin, Partner with Hong Kong law firm, de Bedin & Lee. With many Italian companies and brands establishing themselves in the SAR for acquisitions, mergers, franchise and distribution arrangements, Hong Kong has become the "revolving door" for their "kick start" into Asia, says de Bedin.
