Man that Malekith guy sounds scary. I hope nobody tries to retcon the lore to try to make him the good guy for petty drama in the future.

A bit of context about the election of Bel-Shanaar over Malekith back when they first elected him. Malekith was certainly the favorite candidate to be chosen to become the next Phoenix King. He may have been rough among the edges, but he was considered young for an Elf and thus with time, he could have matured and become a great Phoenix King to defend Ulthuan from the forces of Chaos. HOWEVER, someone then arrived and announced that the children of the Everqueen and Aenarion were still alive. I personally don't believe that Aenarion married the FIRST-EVER Everqueen because according to the lore, there had always been an Everqueen before the Phoenix King was an actual thing. Nevertheless, according to that tradition, the Everqueen's daughter would become her successor, and with Malekith becoming the Phoenix King and thus required to marry the Everqueen in a ritual marriage, that meant that the Phoenix King and Everqueen would have been brother and sister. Now that was the final straw for many of the Princes and Princesses who had yet to vote because the prospect of incest was taboo to Elven Society. So they voted for Bel-Shanaar the Explorer as the safer option. And that enraged Malekith to no end.

I say all of this as someone who hasn't watched the End Times series because I hate it and it's stupid.

I really want a high quality tv show about Aenarion and the almost endless war against Chaos more than anything from 40K, to see him step from the fire of Asuryan and make the first kill against chaos would make my day.

It would help a lot, in my opinion, if the lore videos switched up the soundtrack when discussing different topics. For example, it's a bit dissonant hearing the Total War battle music when the narrator is describing Avelorn and the Everqueen.

As someone who recently got into Warhammer Fantasy with total war. I love your videos! I think I like Warhammer Fantasy more than 40k now tbh. There's more variety and fitting identities to the various factions. Absolutely amazing universe.

Its funny iv been watching Kings and Generals for a while now and always thought that Devin has a great voice to do Warhammer fantasy especially the Empire. Well look what Sigmar and the algorithm has sent me. This is fricken awesome.

Astarielle wasn't the first Everqueen, just the oldest recorded one (read - the first that GW bothered with in the lore). Before the Phoenix Kings, the Asur were already ruled by the Everqueens. The symbolic year-long marriage between the Phoenix Kings and the Everqueens came about from this, to prevent the Asur kingdoms fighting each other over which throne was the real one.

I must say for a future video on being more in depth with the Elven Pantheon, Khaine was considered a War God in addition to Eldrazor.
