Jayce doesn't necessarily need to "win" his lane though. He can just pressure his enemy laner to drop top turret and get a cs advantage and then rotate around the map to get kills. Jayce powerspikes in midgame, he's really good at killing squishies, and he can gank pretty well. If he plays smart he can just snowball the game

Something that wasn't mentioned is that at 6 most champions get an ultimate while jayce doesn't so you may be able to win fights then.

This is why I hate smurfs who play Jayce. Theres 0 chance you survive laning phase unless you stand behind your inib turret lvl 1

One thing that this video did not cover that I find very useful against Jayce is watching for when he casts his ult. The reason he does well against most mellee matchups is his knockback in mellee form so if has just switched to hammer form he cannot switch back for a good 6 seconds or so giving u a window to go in if you have dashes or have not been poked excessively

I’ve had pretty good success with renekton into jayce as well. Most jayce players, at least in my shitty elo, tend to overcommit and burn all their cool downs which just lets renekton run them down. If you can avoid his early poke that is. I also like to start cloth armor 4 pots for the early tabi and good sustain.

Camille does well to him too she can match his poke with her w and take quick burst trades with her shield but she will have a waveclear problem resulting in her falling behind
