The box Mark is standing on, is it just some standard box or did you guys make one so he is exactly as tall as Jack?

Louis III was king of West Francia from 879-882. He is best known for a decisive victory achieved over Viking raiders at the battle of Saucort-en-Vimeu, where he famously led a heroic charge in his first gen Nissan Armada, killing the Viking leader in single combat with a broken belt from the CVT in his wife's Altima.

I lost it when he spun out and the Metal Gear Solid “game over” popped up

7:31 the look of sheer terror on Jack's face is priceless, for a moment he thought Mark was going to launch the nuke from REX.

7:30 is the absolute highlight of this video. Fantastic work as always

Haven't laughed that hard in a while, Jack's nervous laughter and the Metal Gear Solid game over screen was absolutely top tier gold level comedy. Oscar Meyer Weiner jingle and 69 degrees on the climate control were nice easter eggs as well.

Ever heard of the Toyota Sequoia? Proof that not only do dinosaurs exist, but that you can buy them for about $65k!

7:31 I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my entire life 🤣🤣 I would've loved to see that. A nissan school bus at full tilt going sideways

No complaints, few nitpicks. This and the Mitsubishi Outlander are the only two things of this variety I'd recommend to non-tech people on the west coast. Old is gold, just like that MGS reference.

In United Arab Emirates where i live, its impossible to drive on any road without seeing one of those, Nissan patrol. people worship it. Its built to last a lifetime.

woke up from a nightmare of me getting stuck in a ridiculous small slope near my house on a rav4 only to see SG starting the Shadow Moses incident

Sideways in a RWD Armada…well done. How many pairs of underwear were sacrificed to make this video?

When you reviewed the older platformed GX460 you found lots of good to say about "old school" SUVs and were gushing about how in many ways they are still desirable. Yet with the Armada, which incidentally costs about the same or less as a GX460, yet has a much bigger+badder motor, better sightlines, more room, better headlights etc etc etc..simply a class higher... it's just all talk about how its "old"... never mind that its a Y62 one of the most famous worldwide Landcruiser competitors and a newer platform than the GX460.. Any way you look at the Armada its either a Landcruiser competitor at 60% the price, or lots more capability than a GX460, at same same price.
And did not get released in the early 2000s but its a Y62, which got released as a 2011-2013 depending on the market and has just been refreshed.
If it was a Sequoia reviewers would be gushing about the "significant updates" even if it was just a facelift.
The younger guy especially was criticizing things I believe he would have overlooked or even praised in a Sequoia or landcruiser or GX460
Also a mid-nite edition SL is not a "poverty trim" another incident about twisting a postive, ie Value and/or affordability, into a negative.
In the middle East and Australia they are going toe-to-toe with the Landcruiser and deservedly so.
This vehicle deserved the friendly and respectful review that the GX460 got (especially since its more truck at same price in every way)

PS: No I dont own one, though I wish I did, I just notice how reviewers change the tenor of a review based on biases.
PS2: Check out the australian reviews gushing about this SUV.
PS3: As for this "old" engine. it is a 32 valve VVT, engine, closed deck, 6 bolt mains, titanium valves, forged pistons/rods/crankshaft.
I own a vehicle with pre DI version of this engine the VK56de and at 173, 000 HARD miles with hard towing and lots of city miles still has perfect compression in every cylinder and burns not a drop of oil. Show me a mercedes AMG or Chevy that can do that! Even the Toyota V8s will burn oil at this point.

I'm ANYTHING BUT an "SUV guy", but I drove a previous generation Armada and it was actually pretty nice. It was really comfy and they're pretty friggin capable if you need to haul/tow...if this generation is the same but with updated infotainment (which it DESPERATELY needed...), Nissan should have a hit on their hands!

Also, I really wish the new Z had a gauge cluster like this!!

Rented one a few years ago. Heated cloth seats and the nicest cloth I've sat in. Weird gearing in that it only felt happy at 80MPH at highway speed. Not above or below. Killer windshield wipers. Felt like a tank.

I rented one of these in 4wd form last winter. I thought it would be garbage, but I walked away very impressed. It was fast, comfortable, better looking than an Infiniti, and it handled great in the snow. I would buy one if I needed something this large. It's a great value when compared to the competition.
