It's quite possible that SUM 41 are the first band to find success from going 'viral.' Long before the days of YouTube, SUM 41 turned a video of their teenage hijinks into a career that has bent genres and earned Grammy nominations.

In this APTV exclusive, Frontman Deryck Whibley provides the complete oral history of SUM 41–from the writing process of their breakthrough song, "Fat Lip," to how they created the iconic cover for "All Killer, No Filler," Whibley discusses every SUM album from 2000's "Half Hour of Power" to 2019's "Order In Decline." This is a must watch for every SUM 41 fan!

Sum 41 went heavier by each album, as opposed to all the other punk bands, that went pop. That's why Sum 41 are ahead still

What a well guided descripton of the band's history. I'm liking all this promo for the album, and the songs sound great.

Really enjoyed this, but the making of "13 Voices" was skipped and so was Stevo's departure

I love listening to musicians talk about how much they love just being musicians.

This was such a good video. I love how Deryck talks about the focus being on playing live. Some cool effects can be done in the recording studio, but if you can't do it live what's the point.

Wow, thank you so much for this. I love the entire history. I didn’t know all of this was going on while enjoying all these great songs and albums from Sum41

I don't get why Deryck doesn't like Underclass Hero that much, sure it has some lyrics to Lavigne, and it has the most poppy moments but that record is such a standout in my opinion. The harmonies were done so well. The chord progressions may be the same on lots of songs, its still a more interesting listen than many other records. Speak Of The Devil / Dear Father / MOTD & The Jester / Pull The Curtain. I like these songs more than most other songs. They never sounded like this again, you could kinda hear it on the 2008 single ''Always'', but then they went full SBM
