Millennials as we know it has seen a lot over the years. The job-hopping, Instagram loving, YOLO philosophy believer millennials are often regarded as a generation that is ‘entitled’ and ‘lazy’. How much of that is true when we look at the generation from an Indian context? What exactly has it been like for the millennial generation in India? How ‘easy’ and ‘entitled’ has their lives actually been? And keeping in mind a global pandemic that they are facing currently, how badly is their future hit? We will Dekode this and a lot more in this episode of our new series, DEKODED, where we Dekode things from the everyday world.
The Indian millennials of today are a product of a time when India was gradually opening up to the world. Education slowly has reached the remote corners of the country, but redundant policies and age-old education practices have led to a rising number of unemployed individuals. But are they actually unemployed because of shrinking jobs, or there is more to it?
Now, with the New Education Policy coming in, how much do you think it is going to change the overall scenario in India? How changed things would actually be?
We focus majorly on education, jobs, and the rising information gap amongst the Indian millennial in this episode, trying to understand why are the millennials so badly hit during these tough times. And what can be done, so that we don’t make the same mistakes with the generations to come!
This, and a lot more, in this episode of DEKODED.
Let us know what do you think are the major reasons for the massive unemployment in India? What are the changes that are needed to transform the system in place?

I would say - Students shouldn't blindly choose to do a course based on the opinions of their parents, uncles and aunts. They should consult with seniors, talk to people in the industry and make a informed choice which factors in their interests, strengths and their career progression. Long term thinking is important for building a good career.
Just my opinion

0:13 He is spot on...every words.
My best friend's son is exactly as the described.
This kid will not lift a finger to help unless asked. When we were his age we will volunteer without being asked to do any chore around the house.
When I say kid, I meant he is 21 years old and at that age he should know better.
Lazy, entitled, on.

Every time only public, parents and student cannot do and think It's governments leadership full responsibility to make sure every body gets same equal education and acess to So therefore there should need be lot of more service available from government particularly to education system... Guys please don't add the background music. Can't really concentrate on the content. Your content is really good but it gets dimmed by the music.
