Men having multiple wives just because it is a provision in Islam, without considering factors such as living expenses, how much time you dedicate to your family, are doing an injustice to their wife and kids. In my opinion, only the sheikhs in Dubai and Saudi have multiple wives. Most of them either don't have the time or money to father children from multiple women.

I think the better question would have been, to ask if they would consider polygamy at all, rather than ask what happens if their partner asks for it.
It's easier to start out with an open relationship and boundaries, rather than opening up an already existing relationship.

Well polygamy is an option. Not a compulsion. And during marriage a wife keeps a condition that she won't allow polygamy, and then if the husband gets married to another he will be cheating on her /commiting adultery. Which is a major sin and Haram.

I'm here just to make it clear that a man is indeed allowed to have more than one wife, only if the man is truly capable of being responsible for caring for all of them.

if he can't, then he shouldn't force it.
In essence, polygamy is not prohibited, but not encouraged either.
And I need to remind you again, for Islam, women really have to be respected and valued. men have to protect women.

The reason why Muslim women have many restrictions does not mean they are discriminated against, but rather to protect them from various bad things or crimes.

Dear Asian boss, if the needs to give this topic an exposure it also need in depth discussion. Non Muslim or even Muslim who watch this might get a wrong impression and perception to polygamy. Any practice in Islam always need a clarity and explanation as it is not just a practice. A Muslim also always need to seek knowledge and explanation before practicing anything.

Well polygamy relationship are surely allowed for men only when he is capable of handling his 4 wives financially, emotionally, mentally and he has not to pick any favourites it's not a commandd rather an option if men's want mostly where I lived and see they are muslims couple in a monogamy realtionship and a women can leave if she is not happy for her husband or any other reason
And in Islam women and men are equal women and young girls have a full right to education and employment and women can also be older than men in marriages

Idk about this but why everytime asian boss covers Indonesian the topic that brought always about either it’s religion, hijab, polygamy and even caned (which only applied in one particular province due their special autonomy province) while there are so many issue to talk about other than that 😅.
