These Dual Language Videos support bilingual students who speak a Pasifika language and English. These students bring early language and literacy skills and experiences in two languages to school – which can be built upon when the child is reading at school in English. Many of the skills of reading in a Pasifika language can be transferred to reading in English. Dual language books give us a chance to build on all the language and reading experiences and skills that Pasifika children bring to school.
