I love the switch, so much flexibility. Stall the fall is a fabulous method, really uses the whole filter to trap fines and keep the brew moving.

:3 I usually aim for 20 grams of coffee per 250 ml of water. I can do more, too. I my own way for this switch that's a non-Hario, that I just got yesterday, and it was so smooth, and each mouthful was thick to an enjoyable amount. I did over 4 minutes of water hitting the grounds. Multiple drains since I was doing 500 ml with 40 grams of coffee. The ground were cake-like.

I will do this method later today. Hehe. 40 grams of coffee grinds to about 500 ml of water.

Wow this really makes outstanding coffees, it’s like a hack😮 just a question, have you tried stirring for less than 40sec or more than 40sec? And what could be the results? For me 40sec is perfect but why 40? Thanksss ☕️

Got the Switch today finally based on your recommendation! Such a nice thing, it was actually able to brew an espresso roast coffee quite well using the stall the fall method, when used with about 87..ish degree water, and I can't even begin to get started on the brew with the light filter roast, it was thick and fruity, basically everyone's dream coffee. Thanks a lot for the recommendation!

Love making coffee this way! It’s quick and easy. 12 clicks on comandante. I use a 1:16 ratio. Don’t know how Vince does it at 1:13. Way too sweet for me.

I’ll have to try this one out, thanks! I tried a similar method that only pushed the grounds down to saturate them (no stir) and a 2m steep and it was really weak overall.

Someone please teach what grind size you need for these kinds of methods…
I’ve got a baratza encore esp and currently learning espresso. But have no idea for these methods

You can do this with the clever dripper, so is there any benefit in the extra cost?

Dear, I did the same but the of extraction took me 3 minutes !! what is wrong with my way? I use comandante C40 grind settings 18

Ah… So you don’t let the grounds sit in the water for a few minutes like a french press? I’ll have to give this a shot tomorrow
