So it's been a year since I bought my 2003 Honda Accord. People have asked what's the update since. Repairs? Still like it?

2004 here with 206k miles and drives like nothing! My solenoid leaked oil without me realizing it and the car ran with no oil for one day. Still ran like a champ and I just kept filling oil until I got the solenoid replaced! Hondas are the best!

Yep. Replaced shifter button. Replaced headliner. New front discs and pads. No other real issues other than maintenance. Currently at 91k on my 2004 LX.

While my car was in the stop recently, I borrowed my dad's '04 Accord LX 4cyl/AT. It turned 329, 000 miles while I was driving it. The engine and transmission are original and it drives like a dream! There are minor cosmetic issues- pain chipping around windshield and plenty of dents and dings. The audio head unit failed about 10 years ago and was never replaced. But the A/C works, the A/T shifts smoothly, it still makes good power and gets around 30mpg. It's an amazing car!

Honda acquired a reputation for almost other-worldly quality in the 70s & 80s which became the stuff of legend-because they were among the first to offer this-but by 2003 nearly all the rest of the world had caught up to them-so by this time-what you're mostly buying is image-like the jeans with the-"Levis"-tag on it as opposed to the Walmart brand which is probably just as good.

I bought this same car a year ago and I’d say it was great super reliable only left me stranded once bought it and it was rotten underneath but I spent the summer doing pizza delivery and I worked those 4 cylinders hard biggest complaint was the radio and also my shifter button flew out and I had to push down a sharp pin to change from park to drive 10/10 just got a Acura TL and lots more luxury

I've got the 2003 V6. Mine just turned 163, 000 miles. It has a bunch of codes but the car runs great, doesn't burn any oil and starts right up every time. At this point I'm not going to be fixing anything on it unless it's something critical. It just passed emissions in July and I'm good until 2024. Basically, from here on out it is just going to get driven no matter what lights come on. I've gotten more than my money's worth out of the car already. Bought it last June with 154, 000 miles on it for $3300. IMO that's a steal.

Less is better, turbo means another thing to fix, sun roof another thing to fix, just keep it oem and you got yourself a long lasting durable car. As long as the head is not warped and leaking oil these cars are SOLID 💪🏽

Great cars. I own a 2004 Acura TL 6 speed manual. Just make sure you service the transmission and do the 105k mile service even if it's early because it's supposed to be done every 7 years or 105k miles and the timing belt tensioners fail more then they should on these engines if you hear it on a cold start I'd replace it

Crazy thing is I have the same problem on my 2003 Honda and I didn’t know what to do about it and I had the same problem with the seatbelt but Honda told me it was a recall so got that done for free

282, 000 milwa 2005 Accord EX cloth 4 cylinder auto. Same headliner sagging, but still runs great with cold air. $1, 600 at 258k in 2019. Power steering O ring, flush and fill, shroeder valve for AC. My parking brake light is not working.
