Dr. Jekyll is the apparent victim of blackmail, with the perpetrator of the crime being Mr. Hyde. Enfield, a distant relative of Mr. Utterson saw Mr. Hyde attack a young girl. Also, Mr. Utterson is the executor of Dr. Jekyll's will - and in it he's recently made a revision leaving all his assets to Mr. Hyde upon his death or disappearance.

This story is amazing! It's sad that if I or anyone else were to read it now we would spot the twist ending a mile away. I can't imagine how ppl reacted first reading it back in 1886. It was really ahead of its time.
