An exclusive first look at FilmConvert's brand-new Hazy plugin! Over the past few months, I've been collaborating with FilmConvert behind the scenes to test their innovative tool for creating dreamy, cinematic diffusion effects. Simply put, this is the one stop shop for the DaVinci Resolve Pro Mist Effect. Here's everything you need to know about Hazy!

Hazy has been a gem! My little tip is I use it first before I use film convert. You’ll notice it gives you a much softer effect.

hi, mac mini m4, is there a way to support editing prores raw gh7, or will it only handle proress 422?

awesome review but I did not like it at all bc davinci glow behaves better than the haze plugin but for the halation it's not that big deal tbh I can tell Dehancer Bloom & halation better than both of them .

I tried this Hazy and didn’t work… for me. I have the Pro Mist filters to compared them and was not even close. Not sure if i did something wrong. I noticed i had to increase the intensity etc for it to emulate the effect but it would ruin the footage. It would mess the white balance and colors etc. and would take a lot of work and looking into the Filter footage it would be much cleaner. Anyway, great company and good customer service.

awesome review, halation is a nice add-on but I always found it underwhelming if there not enough points of source light in my scene...this looks like it will fit the bill for a nice, organic dreamy finish to my film look. I clicked the link, but don't see an additional discount, is there a code we need to enter?

This is exactly what I was wondering, how is it different from Halation? Seems like a replacement for it or an upgrade. Great video man!

how this compares to Scatter? Looking for an accurate diffusion filter emulation, this seems priced very well if brings consistancy to the grade

I dont know if you remember that "simple high volume hairstyle" tutorial. (i cant comment on that video, but does it work for 4C hair and if so what measures can I take to avoid hair damage

Question about using the correct color space when using “Haze.” My pipeline currently looks like this:

1st node: Cinematch (as my CST) (Should I use a CST before this Cinematch node?)

2nd: color correction stuff like power windows / temperature / contrast

Last is my: FilmConvert Nitrate

Q: If I had my “haze” node before my FilmConvert node, what color space would it be in?

(For reference, my color space in my project is DaVinci Wide Gamut)

Thank you in advance!
