As a Kenyan its insane to think of all the conflicts going on around us yet most people are not even aware. We live in a bubble.

Im living in Addis Ababa the problems is pretty insane. Default on debt, triple inflation one year, police everywhere in the capital. 3 civil wars going on in 3 different regions. Abiy Ahmed is definitely the man to blame. Don’t get surprised if Ethiopia doesn’t exist anymore then coming years. Don’t get me started on the problem with Sudan, Eritrea and Somalia. Pray for Ethiopia 😢🙏🏽

When ethiopia can leave tribalism behind, prosperity will follow. Otherwise the future will be much like the past.

I had no dog in this fight until Abiy woke up one morning and said he wanted to annex part of Somalia to access the Sea. I'm like wtf, this guy is a mad man who is willing to throw the whole region into a conflict. I hope for all our sake, both Ethiopia and neighboring countries that a better government comes to power.

Hey @CaspianReport, I have a proposal.
I love your videos and value the way you deliver the information you research. Could you make dedicated playlists for every country/region composed of your videos? As a regular viewer I see the value for new and old viewers to be able to see the chronological development of things as they happened in the past few years and what they look like today. An eye opener

As a former Yugoslav I instantly started to campere this situation with Yugoslavia which isn't good as this is so much more complicated and will be lot worse because it isn't one big culture dominating the others but multiple decades of rivalries and civil wars. It so sad what nationalism and and the feeling superiority can achieve and the nation of Ethiopia may just be better of dissolving if the other option is civil war and genocide.
But would do I know

And I just want to wishe all Ethiopians luck in this time we're living in

I'm sorry to see Ethiopia struggling after it seemed to have so much going for it just a few years ago. I hope they manage to find a lasting peace soon. Thank you for another informative video.
God be with you out there everybody. ✝️ :)

17:29 This isnt president of Eritrea. Al Burhan of SUDAN not Afwerki

It would be even more complex if you look at how Abiy Ahmed is trying to drag Somalia and Eritrea into this conflict with his provocative sea access policies. Let's hope Ethiopians stop this madman before he causes more havoc and destruction for the Region and Ethiopia.

When you were talking about Tigray from 6:11-6:25, you had a picture of Mengistu who was in power BEFORE the tigray rule.

It sounds like Ethiopia has become the modern Austria-Hungary: old, powerful power, with centuries of tradition and success on its hands, that might collapse in a few years.

As a neighboring Somali what a tragic turn of events for Ethiopia, I was in Hargeisa not long ago and Somalia is rebuilding, sad to say Ethiopia is now planning to forcefully take a piece of land from Somalia we will see how that goes Ethiopia and their unstable country, they’ll surely be the Yugoslavia of Africa as predicted years ago

Abiy Ahmed is very very very reckless. Despite his goals, he is turning his country back 30 years. Relations with Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, and Sudan are all in one way strained. Internally, the country is on the brink of civil war and collapse.

So many errors makes the video unwatchable. Example:

9:55 it was the widespread Oromo youth protests that led the government led by TPLF to transfer power. The Amhara efforts helped the cause but it is by no means the one that pressured TPLF to negotiation for political reform.

17:27 that is not Eritrea's president. He is Sudan's military leader Al Burhan.

6:10 people shown in the pictures are not Tigrayan leaders

Video is full of misunderstanding of Ethiopian politics, which by itself is complex and requires a lot of research and consideration.

In the land where hills embrace the sun,
Amhara hearts beat, a tale begun.
State-sponsored shadows cast despair,
Yet resilient spirits, a story rare.

A people's strength in unity,
Facing a storm, a harsh decree.
Genocide's cruel, relentless hand,
But Amhara's spirit shall withstand.

Mountains echo a resilient song,
Of courage, resistance, standing strong.
In the face of darkness, they endure,
A tale of hope, steadfast and pure.

Oh, Amhara, beacon of light,
In the darkest hour, stand upright.
The world must hear your silent plea,
For peace and justice to set you free.

The RSF and Abiy are both backed by the UAE. The RSF wouldn’t support Fano it’s far more likely the Sudanese Army would supply them. Not to mention Abiy’s government has been caught smuggling weapons to the RSF.

Thank you for discussing this, I feel like Ethiopia constantly gets overlooked as there’s always another conflict going on that takes the spotlight

Also can I just say that whoever gave that man a Nobel peace prize should be ashamed of themselves
